The Charge of the Political, a panel discussion organised by ASAP | art with Shamya Dasgupta and Moinak Biswas, and moderated by Ankan Kazi, centred on Dasgupta’s edited volume of writings titled Unmechanical: Ritwik Ghatak in 50 Fragments (2025). The discussion focused on the afterlife of Ritwik Ghatak as a key cultural figure for postcolonial Bengal, his engagement with the progressive left and Indigenous communities, and the centrality of the figure of the refugee in his work.

Art for Change Foundation invites applications for its International Artist Residency 2026, a two-week immersive programme to be held from 10–29 June 2026 in Leh, Ladakh, and centred on the theme “What to do with Technology? Human-being in the Age of Tech.” The programme fosters cross-cultural dialogue and critical engagement, culminating in a public exhibition of works produced during the residency. The Photojournalism Prize 2026 invites submissions from photographers worldwide who demonstrate strong storytelling and journalistic impact through powerful visual narratives that illuminate contemporary realities and significant global events. Selected through an international blind jury process, the award offers a €5,000 cash prize and online exhibition of the work. Submissions are open until 30 April 2026.

India Printmaker House invites applications for the Manorama Print Grant Award 2026, supporting visual artists in India working with printmaking. The award will select three artists through a juried process, offering funding and recognition for completing a printmaking-based project. Open to artists residing in India, the grant welcomes original handmade traditional and experimental prints—including etching, woodcut, linocut, engraving and serigraphy, created after 2019.
